DESCRIPTION
Transwest Mining Systems is a division of KCL West Holdings Inc., which is a 100% owned subsidiary of Komatsu Canada Limited. Komatsu Canada Limited is owned by Sumitomo Corporation which is a publicly listed company in Japan. The facility will be the new flagship facility for TMS as they are consolidating several operations under one roof. Building usage will be approximately 31,000 square feet of office, 15,000 square feet of warehouse, 30,000 square feet of shop and welding, 20,000 square feet of service space and 20,000 square feet of lunchroom, locker-room, training room, safety/auxiliary space for a total square footage of 116,000. The office will be conventional steel construction from local Edmonton fabricators and the crane loaded shop will be a pre-engineered steel building supplied by VP Buildings.
